Poplar Papers are here – corruption goes all the way back to 2008

The redacted evidence bundle relating to the witness statement of Mark Edmunds in the Poplar Papers has been released to the media (that includes Mole apparently!).
About six months ago Mole came to the conclusion that the rampant corruption in Tower Hamlets Council started way before 2010 when Lutfur Rahman became directly-elected Mayor of Tower Hamlets.
Rahman did not invent the trough. It was there already for him to start feeding on. The question then is who did invent it?

LBTH corruption started 2008

Within a few minutes of starting to read the Poplar Papers Mole’s theory was confirmed. The corruption seems to have started back in 2008 at the very least.

Oops! This doesn’t look good, does it? Have a look at the Lead LBTH officers & Members

Neither LW or Mole has the slightest idea what the ‘Inaugural meeting of the *********** Project in May 2007 refers to in this part of the document. Is that when the corruption (well, this strand of the corruption) started? Or had it been noticed in 2006 and it was not until 2007 that anything was done?
We have no idea. But we think you should know, so we will find out.
More details on that soon.
For the moment here is some other stuff for you to look at. Enjoy. Lots more to come.
