No Chinese Embassy In Tower Hamlets! Rally 14th September

There will be a static rally at Royal Mint Court, Tower Hamlets EC3N 4QN on Tuesday 14th September 2021 between 18.00 and 19.30 to protest at plans to build a new Chinese Embassy at Royal Mint Court.

Under the banner “Tower Hamlets Give Us a Sign You Care” the rally will be celebrating the incredibly good idea to rename roads around Royal Mint Court in ways to really annoy the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) so it cannot easily ignore its own genocide and violent repression of peoples rights.

The proposed road names are

  • Tibet Hill EC3
  • Uyghur Court EC3
  • Hong Kong Square EC3

Good, huh? Moley thinks Tiananmen Terrace EC3 would be cool too.

Support the Tibetans, Uyghur and Hongkongers

Organised by Tower Hamlets opposition group councillors Rabina Khan (Lib Dem), Peter Golds (Conservative) and Andrew Wood (Independent) the road names are designed to remind people that the CCP has been oppressing different ethnic groups like the Tibetans, Uyghur and Hongkongers for decades.

China’s policies in East Turkestan are recognised as genocide by many governments.

In Tibet there are at least one thousand political prisoners including the Panchen Lama.

In Hong Kong every day sees more and more vicious crackdowns on residents struggling for their civil liberties.

Protest against a new Chinese Embassy in Tower Hamlets

Pressure groups Free Tibet, Hong Kong Liberty, Power to Hongkongers, Stop Uyghur Genocide, the Tibetan Community in Britain and the World Uyghur Congress are hosting the rally protesting against the continuing oppression by the CCP at Royal Mint Court in Tower Hamlets, the proposed relocation site for the Embassy of China in London.

See you there! Mole will be giving out prizes for anyone spotting the CCP security people eyeballing the protestors.
